This legal thriller “lite” certainly kept me entertained while reading! There’s lots of action and lots of plot twists to keep you engaged. Are there a plethora of over the top characters? Yes, but if you can suspend disbelief for a bit you’ll find this legal thriller to be filled with surprises and a satisfying ending.
I love legal thrillers but I’m always reading them with a jaded eye. Not to worry, this story of a Federal judge and the Harvard Law student who becomes her legal intern ticked all the boxes while still managing to be pleasantly diverting. There’s a game of cat and mouse, family drama and lots of untrustworthy characters. I really liked the multiple points of view and just when I thought I knew what was happening, there was a plot twist! If you need a fast-paced, twisty thriller, you’ll like this one!
(Thank you St. Martin’s Press for the advanced copy of The Intern in exchange for my honest review.)
