My Review of Under the Orange Moon:
4 sweetly emotional stars!!
Under the Orange Moon is a classic second-chance romance, forcing on Dylan and Ben. Dylan grew up in a house full of brothers, and Ben was the best friend and practically a member of the Matthews’ household. Poor Ben grew up in a very unhappy home and he and Dylan loved each other since they were children. But Ben is on the path to success, leaving home for college and then law school, after breaking Dylan’s heart.
I really liked this sweet and funny story, it is beautifully written and I loved all of the lively family members that we are introduced to. The Matthews family is in stark contrast to Ben’s family, with his cold and distant father and sad, sick mother. Ben seems to be a jerk at first but the author really gives us insight into his behavior and we can really understand his deep-seated issues. I loved Dylan and was really rooting for her and Ben! I also loved how the author created a very intelligent, talented character in Dylan and certainly did not make her a pushover. The highlight of this book for me was the incredibly warm family relationships. The characters all tied together nicely at the end and the Prologue was fabulous and very emotional.
This is the first book I have read from Adrienne Frances and it is perfect for fans of new adult, second chance romance!
Adrienne Frances works in the writing department at a university near her home. In her spare time, she loves to be with her husband and two sons, who have made her exactly who she is today. Writing is a passion that she has appreciated for as long as she can remember. She believes that a wild imagination is a terrible thing to waste and should be captured and brought to life by all who are blessed to have one. This way of thought, as well as her love for the written word, is what led her to become an author.
