Lana is a fairly short ( about 100 pages) and smoking hot novella based on characters from the Up In the Air series by R.K. Lilley. Lana returns to Hawaii after fleeing years earlier, when her heart was broken by her one true love, Akira.

“But to him, I was only a burden. A family friend with an inconvenient infatuation, I recalled was how he phrased it.”

Lana had grown up worshipping the older Akira. After one glorious night together, she leaves the island broken-hearted after overhearing Akira discussing her with his former girlfriend. Years pass, Lana works from afar in her family’s hotel business and the two have no contact – until Lana returns on business and their passion is re-ignited.

“This is paradise. You took my paradise with you when you left, Lana.”

R.K. Lilley really delivers on the steamy sex scenes between Lana and Akira. I would love to read more of their story! Akira is one hot Alpha with a lot of heart and soul. Several characters from Up In the Air make brief appearances in Lana so I recommend you read that series first. You should read the series anyway, it’s amazing!

Lana is a quick and totally satisfying read. Loved the teaser at the end for Danika and Tristan, I am looking forward to their story.
