My Review:
Fans of The Alpha Group series by Maya Cross know that the second book ended with a cliffhanger, and Unlocked, the final book in the series, picks up right where the second book ended. Are you looking for for an action-filled book, with some steamy sex, and a hot alpha hero? Then Unlocked is for you.
You must read the first two books in the series to understand the background of Unlocked. Sophia was coping with a break from both her career and from Sebastian and was suddenly thrust into a life-threatening situation. Sebastian is dealing with his own feelings from a tragedy years before, for which he blames himself.
The question is whether Sebastian can distance himself from Sophia in order to keep her safe. He can no longer struggle against the depth of his feelings for her:
“Something about her just rendered me utterly powerless.”
There are lots of twists and turns in Unlocked and Sophia and Sebastian must decide whether they can withstand the danger and risks of their being together. Sophia cannot deny her feelings for Sebastian:
“His touch was soothing. His presence washed over me, filling me with that primal sense of security.”
This an action-packed story, with lots of steam! All is revealed about the mysterious Alpha Group, and loose ends are tied up. Oh, and did I mention the hotness factor? Sebastian is a sexy, strong alpha who takes what he wants. Sophia is a smart, funny heroine and the two of the together are great. I also loved the dual POV; we really get to see the softer side of Sebastian, and get a glimpse into his motivation. Fans of Maya Cross will absolutely love the ending to The Alpha Group series. All is revealed, and the characters are given a very satisfying conclusion. For anyone who loves action and suspense with their hot sex scenes, Unlocked is for you!

Maya Cross is a writer who enjoys making people blush. Growing up with a mother who worked in a book store, she read a lot from a very young age, and soon enough picked up a pen of her own. She’s tried her hands at a whole variety of genres including horror, science fiction, and fantasy, but funnily enough, it was the sexy stuff that stuck. She has now started this pen name as an outlet for her spicier thoughts (they were starting to overflow). She likes her heroes strong but mysterious, her encounters sizzling, and her characters true to life.
She believes in writing familiar narratives told with a twist, so most of her stories will feel comfortable, but hopefully a little unique. Whatever genre she’s writing, finding a fascinating concept is the first, and most important step.
