But after weeks of wearing me down, I finally agreed to one date only—my first after twenty years of being with my high school sweetheart. I knew it couldn’t last, but I was curious about him.

Though, you know what they say…curiosity kills the cat.

My legs wobbled walking into the restaurant.

Ford was seated at the bar. When he turned around, he took my breath away.

His sexy smile nearly melted my panties.

But…he looked so familiar.

As I got closer I realized why.

He was the son of the neighbor at our family’s summer home.

MY REVIEW:

Perfect light and sexy beach read! I loved the older woman/younger man theme.

“There’s no better way to get back at your douche of an ex-husband for sleeping with a twenty-year-old than having a summer fling with a younger man.”

Valentina is 37 years old and trying out a dating app for the first time. Much to her surprise the witty guy who she is texting with turns out to be the son of her neighbor who is now all grown up. But Ford Donovan is not your typical 25-year-old. He is wise beyond his years, sensitive, romantic and funny. Vi Keeland has taken what could be an unbelievable situation and made it sexy, funny and very realistic. In fact, Val is much more cautious about entering into a relationship with a younger man than Ford is.

“But is it possible to have the right feelings at the wrong time? I feel like I’m not ready for anything serious, even though I’m sort of crazy about you. There are so many things I should do for me first.”

The Montauk setting adds to the summertime feel of this sexy romance. The author always creates great chemistry between her characters and Ford and Val are no exception. And even though Ford was much younger than Val, he was the one with more dating experience since she was just coming out of a long-term marriage. This was a fun, steamy and sweet read with low angst and a wonderful slow-burn romance. I liked that the heroine was older and was a mother and brought different types of experiences into the relationship. Ford found Val to be refreshing and smart and very sexy which was a nice change of pace for a romance novel.

If you are looking for an easy, swoon-worthy romance with a wonderful happy ever after, then you will love ‘All Grown Up’!
