Summary:
The Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster phenomenon continues in the first heart-pounding new adult romance in The Maddox Brothers series.
Fiercely independent Camille “Cami” Camlin gladly moved on from her childhood before it was over. She has held down a job since before she could drive, and moved into her own apartment after her freshman year of college. Now tending bar at The Red Door, Cami doesn’t have time for much else besides work and classes, until a trip to see her boyfriend is cancelled, leaving her with a first weekend off in almost a year.
Trenton Maddox was the king of Eastern State University, dating co-eds before he even graduated high school. His friends wanted to be him, and women wanted to tame him, but after a tragic accident turned his world upside down, Trenton leaves campus to come to grips with the crushing guilt.
Eighteen months later, Trenton is living at home with his widower father, and works full-time at a local tattoo parlor to help with the bills. Just when he thinks his life is returning to normal, he notices Cami sitting alone at a table at The Red.
As the baby sister of four rowdy brothers, Cami believes she’ll have no problem keeping her new friendship with Trenton Maddox strictly platonic. But when a Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever—even if she is the only reason their already broken family could fall apart.
In the first installment of the Maddox Brothers books, readers can experience the rush of reading Beautiful Disaster for the first time, all over again.

Spolier-Free Review:
We loved this latest installment in the Maddox Brothers’ saga! Trent is hard-loving, hard-working, loyal and completely devoted to Cami. She is a good girl dealing with a bad family situation and trying to keep up with two jobs, school and TJ, her long-distance boyfriend who is does not seem to have much time for her because of his mysterious job in California.
What we loved best about this story is the devotion of Trenton to Cami. At first he comes off as a player but he is far from that and when he makes his true feelings known to Cami, he is totally swoon-y. He’s uber-sexy, hot and protective.
“Because I’ve been in love with you since grade school, Chamomile. And everyone knew it. Everyone.”
We also loved Cami, she is dealing with more than her share of stress between her seriously dysfunctional family, school, juggling two jobs and her mystery boyfriend TJ in California. We both really liked this book because of our devotion to the Maddox Brothers, BUT we did not like how Trent’s longtime love for Cami was not described in more detail, maybe through a memory, or another scene or two. That led to a little bit of a disconnect between the two main characters. We are sworn to secrecy about giving away any spoilers but be aware there is a SHOCKER of an abrupt, surprise ending! Cathy figured it out from the beginning but I was clueless. And, the author just announced that the next installment will be BEAUTIFUL REDEMPTION, the oldest Maddox Brother’s story. We will definitely read the next book because who doesn’t absolutely love the Maddox Brothers??!
