BOOK 1
Eversea by Natasha Boyd
Genre: New Adult Contemporary Romance
Publication date: June 10th 2013
Synopsis:
Eversea, a love story, is a Winter Rose Contest FINALIST 2013. Emilia Pisani of Simon & Schuster (judge) says “Great southern flavor!” and “Jack is an alluring leading man!”
An orphaned, small-town, southern girl, held hostage by responsibility and self-doubt.
A Hollywood A-list mega-star, on the run from his latest scandal and with everything to lose.
A chance encounter that leads to an unlikely arrangement and epic love affair that will change them both forever.
When his co-star and real-life girlfriend is caught cheating on him with her new director, A-list hottie, Jack Eversea, finds himself in sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina. Jack hopes the sultry southern heat in this tiny coastal Lowcountry town will hide him not only from the tabloids and his cheating girlfriend, but his increasingly vapid life and the people who run it. He doesn’t count on meeting Keri Ann Butler.
Keri Ann has relied on herself so long, dealing with her family’s death and the responsibilities of keeping up her family’s historic mansion, that boys and certainly the meager offering of eligible boys in Butler Cove, have never figured into her equation. But fate has other plans. Suddenly face to face with the man who played the movie role of her favorite fictional character, Jack has Keri Ann yearning for everything she has previously avoided … and Jack must decide whether this funny, sassy girl is worth changing his life for, before his mistakes catch up to him.

My Review:
There are a few books that stay with you long after you finish and Eversea and Forever Jack are among those books. I not only fell in love with Keri Ann and Jack, I fell in love with Butler Cove, South Carolina. I absolutely loved the setting and sense of place created by Ms. Boyd and after the conclusion of Eversea, I was desperate to come back to the characters I loved so much!
Keri Ann has sacrificed much of her life and happiness out of family duty. Finally, after Jack has left, she makes something of herself as an artist, and finally is able to pursue an art education. She was devastated at their absence after Jack’s departure from the small town of Butler Cove, but to the author’s credit, Keri Ann doesn’t just pine away. She is strong and tries to move on in a positive way.
And Jack, my heart broke for him! When he explains his situation, I was hoping and praying that Keri Ann could be understanding enough and strong enough to accept him back into her life. But she has her own insecurities. Can she withstand the almost constant pressures that come with dating an international superstar?
Forever Jack is a beautifully written book filled with memorable characters and a story that flows perfectly. If you are looking to get lost in a book, look no further than Eversea and Forever Jack.
I also fell in the love with these book covers, the soothing colors and design transport me (in my mind) back to the beach. Jack is one of my top book boyfriends, funny, sensitive, handsome, and oh yes, SEXY as hell! He is not perfect, and there were a few times where I was literally on the edge of my seat, hoping that both he and Keri Ann wouldn’t keep their pride in the way of their great love. The conclusion of this series was perfect and would only be better if there were more books coming about Jack and Keri Ann. This is a 6-star series for me and I can’t recommend the books highly enough.

I love books set in small town just for this reason. It’s like the town becomes a character in and of itself and you really fall in love with the whole atmosphere/setting. You should totally watch Hart of Dixies btw! Awesome review, Ellen! I love it when a book really stays with you for a long time afterwards.
I know Giselle, I want to visit the South Carolina Low Country! And these book covers are just magical!
