Release Date: October 29th
Goodreads
Summary:
Given a second chance, music journalist Dawn Emerson and guitarist Sage Knightly are reunited, only to have their lives threatened again by a demonic bargain. The sequel to THE DEVIL’S METAL, from USA Today bestselling author Karina Halle.
When Dawn Emerson got the chance to go on tour with her favorite metal band, Hybrid, she thought she landed the writing gig of the century. But what started off as a dream for the budding music journalist quickly turned into a nightmare that she and guitarist Sage Knightly barely escaped alive.
Now, months after they went their separate ways, Sage invites Dawn to accompany him on his first solo tour across Europe and write about it for Creem Magazine. But like the last tour, nothing is as easy as it seems. Sage is a broken man on the path to self-destruction and Dawn isn’t sure if she’s the right person to save him. And aside from having to pick up the pieces of their burgeoning relationship, they have to negotiate the mysterious new photographer assigned to Dawn’s story, as well as vindictive promoters and demonic groupies they thought they’d never see again.
Because this time, it’s Dawn who made a deal with the devil and the only thing worse than having to uphold a bargain with the prince of darkness is not remembering how you’re supposed to pay it back.
It may be with their souls.
THE DEVIL’S REPRISE is the sequel to THE DEVIL’S METAL and the final book in this series.

Author Bio:
The daughter of a Norwegian Viking and a Finnish Moomin, Karina Halle grew up in Vancouver, Canada with trolls and eternal darkness on the brain. This soon turned into a love of all things that go bump in the night and a rather sadistic appreciation for freaking people out. Like many of the flawed characters she writes, Karina never knew where to find herself and has dabbled in acting, make-up artistry, film production, screenwriting, photography, travel writing and music journalism. She eventually found herself in the pages of the very novels she wrote (if only she had looked there to begin with).
Karina holds a screenwriting degree from Vancouver Film School and a Bachelor of Journalism from TRU. Her travel writing, music reviews/interviews and photography have appeared in publications such as Consequence of Sound, Mxdwn and GoNomad Travel Guides. She currently splits her time between her apartment in downtown Vancouver and her sailboat, where a book and a bottle of wine are always at hand. She’s hard at work on her next novel.
Summary:
It’s the summer of 1974 and 21-year old Dawn Emerson has only three things she wants to do: compete one last time in the Ellensburg Rodeo, win back her ex-boyfriend Ryan, and become the best damn music journalist at Central Washington University. But all her plans are left in the dust when she’s contacted by Creem magazine to go on the road with one of her favorite groups, the up-and-coming metal band, Hybrid. At first the assignment reads like a dream come true. Not only will Dawn land some much-needed credibility as a female music journalist, but she’ll finally get to experience life from the other side of the stage, and maybe crack the drunken, enigmatic code that is guitarist Sage Knightly. Instead, Dawn finds herself on an aging tour bus filled with ego-maniacs, band politics and a whole lot of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll. When monsters start showing up in dressing rooms and some of Sage’s groupies become increasingly strange and dangerous, Dawn discovers the band is not only going places – they’re going straight to Hell. And Dawn has a backstage pass. *** The Devil’s Metal is the first book in a two-part New Adult Horror/Paranormal Romance and very (very!) loosely based on the author’s exploits as a music journalist. Hell comes in different forms.

Synopsis:
A Man of Science.
Nicholas Robinson is a chemist decades ahead of his time. Crippled by a riding accident and embittered by his injuries, he shuns the world, focusing on his laboratory and experiments. But when the sale of his country estate, Grantley, leads to an encounter with a vampire, Nicholas realizes there is more in heaven and earth than he ever dreamed possible.
A Creature of Darkness
Although three hundred years old, Bancroft Ulwin is young by supernatural standards. Enslaved by his cruel, deformed maker, Ban is forbidden from relations with mortal men unless it ends in death. But his liaison with Nicholas, expressly against his master’s wishes, soon expands beyond mere lust to something more.
A Love Predestined
.
Long ago while still mortal, Ban met Serafino, the only true love of his life. When death separated them, Ban accepted his role as an enemy of human kind. But as he comes to suspect Nicholas is Serafino reincarnated, Ban begins to question everything he once believed. Including his own damnation.
Excerpt:
Ban surprised Sebastian by catching him round the waist and pulling him close. “I would bed you again. Show you my unbridled appetite. But that boy can work magic with flame, I’m told. Let me see his routine, and then we’ll sport.”
“Did you note the scar on his arm? On his back? He’s missed a few times, this Adonis of yours.”
“Then the act shall be all the more thrilling.”
The press of humanity was so thick around the stage, Sebastian and Ban were obliged to stand watch from the fringes. Not surprisingly, Ban was drawn in from the moment the pipers and drummers began a sinuous, malevolent tune meant to invoke the Far East, at least for those who’d never been there. Serafino appeared on stage with chest and arms oiled, a torch blazing in one hand as he accepted a volley of cheers. Twirling the torch rapidly, he paced along the edge of the stage, flicking the fire over his audience’s head.
“Do I deceive you, or is this fire?”
“Fire!” the crowd shrieked.
Hooking the torch in an iron bracket, Serafino withdrew a slimmer torch with a cloth-wrapped end. Lighting it off the first, he passed his fingers through the fire, letting his flesh linger ever longer in the flames until women began to gasp.
“I am Serafino, son of the dragon, and I fear no flame. It licks my flesh like a lover.” He seemed to caress his cheeks with the torch, drawing more gasps. “And in return, I swallow it like a lover.” Tilting his head back, Serafino fed the torch to himself, holding it with his teeth until even the men gasped. Withdrawing it, he grinned triumphantly, strutting to each side of the stage and repeating the trick until the crowd erupted in applause. Ban clapped and whistled so enthusiastically, Sebastian closed his eyes in a silent appeal for inner fortitude.
Sacred ancestors, if this fool wasn’t so handsome….
Tumblers brought Serafino a succession of the slender torches. Some he twirled, some he passed over his bare chest, others he swallowed, extinguishing the flame and exhaling the smoke through his nostrils.
“Did I not say I am the son of the dragon?” Serafino called to the crowd. “And what does the dragon do?”
“Breathes fire!” several onlookers cried.
“Behold!” Seizing the large torch from its bracket, Serafino breathed a plume of fire. Strutting again, he covered the stage in long strides, breathing fire until the crowd was in ecstasy. Then all the torches snuffed as if by magic, and a cloud of thick white smoke appeared. When it dissipated, Serafino had vanished. Of course, sufficient clapping and cheering lured the pretty boy back onstage to take his bows. Ban’s high-pitched whistles proved impossible for Serafino to miss, and Sebastian saw their eyes meet across the crowd.
“A magnificent spectacle,” he said dryly, placing a hand on Ban’s arm. “May we at last retire some place more private?”
“Of course,” Ban mumbled. And it was that very tone of obligation, of disinterest, that decided his fate.

Panic by J.A. Huss
(Rook and Ronin #3)
Publication date: October 24th 2013
Genres: Contemporary, New Adult, Romance
Blog Tour Hosted by Xpresso Book Tours
Synopsis:
Rook is chasing her dream—film school and a chance at a life beyond the one she ran from six months ago. But before she can become the girl she wants to be, she must deal with the girl she left behind.
Ronin is also chasing his dream—a family of his own and a life away from erotic modeling. And he too, has a past he’s trying to forget. A past that makes Rook question everything about their life together.
Lies, secrets, and shocking truths will rock the foundation Rook and Ronin have built. Can they put the past behind them and move forward together? Or is this just another too good to be true relationship that will crash and burn in the end?
MY REVIEW:
The first two books in this series left lots of unanswered questions which are all answered in thrilling fashion in Panic! I loved the way the author let us in on Rook and Ronin’s histories. Wow! I wasn’t expecting these stories. The last half of Panic is very fast-paced and almost morphed into a thriller which was fine by me. I absolutely love all the characters in these stories (even the ones I love to hate) but I really love Ford.
Rook turns into a very, strong heroine and you can see how resilient she really is. But she is far from perfect which is one of the things I liked about this story. I liked how she interacted with Ford and in particular there is a scene between her and Ford that could have taken a predicatble turn but didn’t.
I love a dual POV book and the author does not dissapoint with giving us both Rook’s and Ronin’s POV. There are also plenty of steamy scenes in this book. Overall a very satisfying conclusion to Rook and Ronin’s story. And more Ford please! Finally, if you haven’t started this series yet, the first two books, TRAGIC and MANIC, are on sale right now for only $0.99 each!

Title: Blue Love
Author: MJ Fields
Hosted By: Romance Addict Book Blog
Synopsis:
In this New Adult / College, Coming of Age story Tessa Ross tries to fight her attraction to bad boy Lucas Links. He is hot, arrogant, and has a sexual past that most boys his age could only dream of, (If they even knew they could dream of such things).
Lucas, the star quarterback seems to have it all, super star athletic abilities, expensive clothes, cars, and women who literally stop just to watch him walk by. On the outside he appears to have it all.
Tessa is a young woman who lives her life always doing what is right to make everyone else happy. She tries desperately to hold herself accountable to the demanding expectations of her family and everyone around her.
Is Tessa as innocent as she appears? Is Lucas just a spoiled young man who seems to have what every male, and female wants?
If you Love an emotional story that is full of spicy hot goodness. If you Love to follow a story from beginning until the bitter sweet end. If you are often left wondering what happened next… get your tissues and lip balm ready you are in for the read of your life.
As we all know, you should never judge a book by it’s cover.
My Review:
Blue Love is a classic sweet and emotional Young Adult story, filled with drama, tenderness and some steamy love scenes. Tessa’s family is having problems at home, she just wants to have a great school year and Lucas is the handsome, star football player. She does not immediately fall all over him. Unfortunately, he has a sad home life but when he meets Tessa, he immediately likes her.
Ms. Fields has written an authentic teenage story, with a girl dealing with her first love, hormones, family problems and mean girls. Will Tessa stay with Lucas, or push him away? Will Lucas do something to screw up their relationship? Can he do the right thing? There are lots of supporting characters here who I loved and who add a lot to this story. I also loved the sweet yet very hot relationship between Tessa and Lucas. There are some very touching parts of this story, and the dialogue between the teen characters has a genuine authenticity to it. The ending suprised me in a good way, and it looks like there will be several more stories about this group of characters!
Overall I recommend this book for anyone who likes a YA story filled with first love, angst, tenderness and emotion.

MJ Fields:
I am a very new self published writer. I will tell you I have always had a very vivid imagination. Starting at age 3 (as it states in my Baby Book).
Sigma was my very first love (imaginary boyfriend). He lived about fifteen miles from my childhood home, (a farm). I took him chicken noodle soup every night on one of our families snowmobiles, (Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring). Apparently he was very ill and “Thank God” I was able to take care of him.
Next was my very first self publishing gig. At eight my cousins and I (and yes I was the president) wrote a newsletter and sold it to our family members.
Years later I decided to put it back into print to entertain my cousin as she was on an aircraft carrier on 9/11 (Kick ass cousin BTW) and very far away from home during a very scary time for our country, (protecting our butts).
Fast forward to 2012. I read 50 shades and thought, I can do that, (meaning writing). I have two complete series The Love Series, and Wrapped. I have two new series Burning Souls and Men of Steel. Ten books in 13 months. CrAzY and wonderful.
I love love! ( I would love to reference Pinks new song here, however I am not sure if that would cause copyright issues.)I also tend to enjoy watching people grow and change with self realization and moments of clarity that just sneak up behind you and smack you in the head. I love people and have always been able to see both sides of a story. Each person that comes into our life leaves us with something it is what we choose to do with it that helps us grow.
I live in central New York in the middle of nowhere and am surrounded by family and friend most the time. I run a small business out of my home and spend time reading and doing the typical Mommy things. Our house is full of pets and friends and noise ninety percent of the time, and I would have it no other way.
I love people, music, laughter, hugs, and books.

Why is there no release date for AWAKEN yet? One reason is that Amazon has blocked AROUSE and ALLURE from visibility because of the semi-nudity on the old covers.
Until Amazon removes the filter and the books are fully back in the system, we can’t schedule a release date for AWAKEN. As soon as the filter is removed, I’ll make the announcement!

SYNOPSIS:
Featuring characters from Love and Relativity, a Preservation Series Companion Novel
Carter Montgomery spent most of his life blending in, and he liked it that way. It was always better to be seen, not heard. And while a theatric streak and friendly demeanor might have fooled most people, he knew the truth—he was the shy one. The quiet kid most people forgot about. Some might have considered that a bad thing, but those people all wanted to be in the spotlight.
The only place Carter didn’t mind attention was on stage, with The Hellions. Once content in his comfort zone in Seattle, Washington, he only knew three things: confrontation was to be avoided, keeping the peace was priority, and the moment he lost Kate Parker to Professor Ryan Campbell, he had no clue what to do with his life. Playing gigs, working at Pike Place Market, and watching BBC after the love of his life sailed off into the sunset just wasn’t going to cut it anymore.
Desperate to escape his rut, he takes a cue from Kate and chooses a random place to relocate—a small island across the country, where no one knows his name and memories of unrequited love aren’t found at every turn. Just when he thinks he’s found the perfect place to unwind and sink back into the shadows, in bursts Whitney Sinclair, a saucy firecracker who loves life and refuses to settle for second best. Full of contagious energy, she dares him to be brave, convincing him that it might finally be time to tell the world what he wants.
It might be time to make a declaration.
