BOOK SUMMARY:
He told her How He Really Feels and had his heart broken. Now Travis Miller is trying to move on from the greatest heartbreak of his life by getting out of town. But two nights before his big move to California, Travis meets a mystery woman who grabs hold of his broken heart and gives him hope that he can piece it back together. Will Travis ever figure out What He Really Feels, or will he be stuck on his first love forever? Will he find his happily ever after?
What He Really Feels contains some adult situations and is intended for mature readers.
EXCERPT:
“My friends dared me to come talk to you.”
I thought about that for a moment. She was cute. I’d had an unusually large volume of random hook-ups of late, but, I justified to myself, I had no reason not to add one more to the list. There wasn’t anybody waiting at home for me, so I figured there was no harm in having some fun.
I placed my hand on Kelly’s hip and guided her so that she stood closer to me, between my legs. Then I leaned in close to her, and she smelled good. Sexy, like warm vanilla. “Did they dare you to do anything else?” I asked, my breath close against her ear.
I saw her tremble, and I acknowledged that my words had had their intended effect.
She looked up at me with big, mischievous brown eyes. “Maybe.”
I leaned in again. “Are they watching?”
She nodded, so I lowered my head to hers to give her friends a show. I brushed my lips against hers, and I felt my own heart rate speeding up. Even if I didn’t know anything about this girl, I still always got revved up by the thought of what could happen.
QUICK Q&A:
1. Tell us your favorite characteristic about the hero in this series.
It depends on if you see Nick or Travis as the hero of the trilogy. If it’s Nick, I love that he’s a total Prince Charming who knows how to treat a woman right. If it’s Travis, I love everything about him! If I had to pick one characteristic, I guess I would have to choose how lovable he is.
2. Tell us your favorite characteristic about the heroine in this series.
Julianne’s confidence is probably my favorite characteristic. She’s optimistic and goes after what she wants.
3. What are three aspects of this second book, WHAT HE REALLY FEELS, you’re most proud of?
1. The random bits of humor
2. The minor character Tracy
3. I wrote it in under a month
4. What five words do you hope readers will use to describe WHAT HE REALLY FEELS?
entertaining, refreshing, endearing, steamy, hot
5. Without spoiling anything, and using four adjectives, what can readers expect from the third book in the He Feels trilogy?
passionate, witty, dramatic, concluding
6. What was the last book you read for fun?
Seduction and Snacks by Tara Sivec. I totally laughed out loud through the entire thing.
7. What’s the next book on your personal TBR?
Wallbanger by Alice Clayton
8. What’s your favorite romance sub-genre to read, aside from Contemporary Romance?
Chick Lit and Erotica
9. Tell us your number one guilty reading pleasure.
FSoG for sure. When I first read it, I read the trilogy immediately again, and then I reread it twice more, all back to back. I couldn’t get enough of Christian and Ana. Then I found Crossfire, and then I found Gabriel’s Inferno, but nothing beats dreamy Christian.
10. Name several authors that truly inspire you.
Emily Giffin, E. L. James, Sylvia Day, Nicholas Sparks, Emma Chase, Tara Sivec, Gail McHugh, K. Bromberg
Five Fun Facts about WHRF
1. I originally intended How He Really Feels to be a standalone novel. Then the reviews started rolling in, and everyone asked the same question: What about Travis? So, book 2 was born. The more I thought about it, the more I realized that Julianne and Nick’s story wasn’t quite over yet, either. So book 3 is on the way… sometime soonish.
2. I like writing from a male perspective more than from a female perspective.
3. I had no beta readers for my first book. My husband just convinced me to hit the PUBLISH button on Amazon and see what happened. I am so happy with the positive response I got to my first book, and every single review you see is from someone I didn’t know when they posted the review… although I’m happy to call many of them my friends now! So I asked a few of my new blogger friends to read book 2, and I tried to ask people who hadn’t given the first book a five star review. The first two people who gave me feedback on book two rated it FIVE stars!
4. I wrote myself into a scene in the book. There’s a scene where Travis sees a couple get engaged… Travis is actually watching my husband propose to me.
5. I know virtually nothing about architecture, and I don’t know any architects. So I spent a lot of time on Google whenever I had to write an office scene!

I have been with my husband for 15 years now and I think I have what he is feeling pretty well down most times. I think the real question is if he has me figured out. The jury is still out on that one most times 🙂

Yeah, definitely hard to know how a SO feels especially when they are silent and won’t talk to you. So frustrating.
