Title – Fueled (Book #2, Driven Trilogy)
Author – K. Bromberg
Genre – Erotic Romance
Release Date – August 27, 2013
What happens when the one person you never expected suddenly happens to be the one you’ll fight the hardest to keep? Colton stole my heart. He wasn’t supposed to, and I sure as hell didn’t want him to, but he crashed into my life, ignited feelings within me that I thought had died forever, and fueled a passion that I never knew could exist. Rylee fell out of that damn storage closet and into my life. Now I don’t think I’ll ever be the same. She’s seen glimpses of the darkness within me, and yet she’s still here. Still fighting for me. She is without a doubt the saint, and I am most definitely the sinner. How is it the one thing neither of us wanted—neither of us anticipated that fateful night—has us fighting so hard to keep?
He steals my breath, stops my heart, and brings me back to life again all in a split second of time. But how can I love a man who won’t let me in? Who continually pushes me away to prevent me from seeing the damaged secrets in his past? My heart has fallen, but patience and forgiveness can only go so far. How can I desire a woman who unnerves me, defies me, and forces me to see that in the deep, black abyss of my soul there’s someone worthy of her love? A place and person I swore I’d never be again. Her selfless heart and sexy body deserve so much more than I’ll ever be capable of giving her. I know I can’t be what she needs, so why can’t I just let her go?
We are driven by need and fueled with desire, but is that enough for us to crash into love?
Disclaimer: I am no writer, so anything I say here will not be able to do justice to the amazing writing talent of K. Bromberg! So a few months ago a book called Driven landed in my in box along with a lovely email asking if Cathy and I would be interested in reading the book. Other obligations interfered until finally over the summer, I began reading what turned out to be one of my absolute favorite series ever! As a matter of fact, I started reading Driven (yes, I know this is the Fueled Blog Tour!) while I was on a family vacation that involved a lot of driving. Thankfully I have three other drivers in my family because every chance I got, I hopped in the back seat with my Kindle and said, “Oh, a two-hour drive? No problem! Let’s go!” That’s how obsessed I was with Colton and Rylee. I could not get enough of them.
I could not wait to dive into Fueled. And the author literally grabs your heart right from the very beginning and does. Not. Let. Go. My heart was pounding out of my chest for most of this book. And it’s not just the amazingly steamy sex scenes between Colton and Rylee. It’s the actions of Colton, it’s Rylee’s reactions, it’s the secondary characters, the racing scenes, the emotional connection between Rylee and Colton. . . Well, you get the picture.
My blogging partner Cathy read Fueled after release day, and was very skeptical about my ranting and raving about Colton and Rylee. Well, she loved it MORE than Driven, and she is almost always disappointed with sequels!
Fueled has inspired a lot of fervor from readers and the author kindly responds to every comment, email and Tweet about Colton and Rylee. She is clearly as passionate about her characters as we are. We RACE you, Kristy!
So there’s our little review. No detailed plot descriptions here because this book should most definitely be read without any spoilers, because the story is just, wow. Will you have a book hangover after reading Fueled? Oh, yeah. But please don’t bother the author! She needs to write CRASHED ASAP!

“Did I tell you how damn sexy you look today?” His voice rasps from behind me.
I look over my shoulder and smile at him. “Thank you,” I reply, recognizing the salacious look in his eyes. “But I have a feeling that your view is a little jaded from a lack of sex.”
The hum of appreciation in the back of his throat makes me smile. “Oh, baby, there’s definitely nothing wrong with my view,” he says with a chuckle. I start to go up the second flight again, but this time Colton’s hands seem to be touching me in various places with every step. A soft caress up the back of my thigh. A slight brush down my bare arm. A quick tap on my backside.
I know exactly what he’s doing, but it’s not like he needs to stoke the embers because I’m already a wild fire of need. Knowing that he wants me like this, needing and aching for more of his touch, makes me feel wanton and willing to play the game too. I sway my hips a little more than usual as I walk across the second landing. My hand purposely snagging my hem to reveal just a trace of what’s beneath it.
Colton’s lightning quick as he grabs me from behind, both of his arms wrapping around me in a vice like grip. “You little minx.” He growls in my ear as I feel the play of his muscles against my back. “Are you really going to tease me like that when I’ve been without being inside of you—tasting you for way too long? Especially when you know how desperate I am to have you.”

K. Bromberg is that reserved woman sitting in the corner that has you all fooled about the wild child inside of her—the one she lets out every time her fingertips touch the computer keyboard. She’s a wife, mom, child rustler, toy pick-er-upper, chauffer, resident web-slinger, LaLaloopsy watching, American Girl doll dressing multi-tasker of all things domestic and otherwise. She likes her diet cokes with rum, her music loud, and her pantry stocked with a cache of chocolate.
K. lives in Southern California with her husband and three children. When she needs a break from the daily chaos of her life, you can most likely find her on the treadmill or with Kindle in hand, devouring the pages of a good, saucy book.
Fueled is K. Bromberg’s second published novel and is the highly anticipated second book of “The Driven Trilogy.” Driven was her well-received debut novel and Book #1 of the series.
