Faith may have run but her past refuses to let her go.
Interview with the Author:
What inspired you to write Finding Faith?
Insomnia. I had all of the characters and the general plot laid out by sun up one night. How did you come up with the title?
It has a double meaning. For John it’s about finding his true love. For Faith it’s about trying to find herself again after getting lost in life. Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
They were taken from my own life to a certain extent. I have been in the medical field for 15 years and my husband is a Fire Fighter. The descriptions of certain locations and back ground characters are from my real life. What books have most influenced your life most?
I don’t have one book per se, but I loved Little Women growing up.Do you have time to read a book now?
I haven’t had much time to read but the last book I read was by an author friend of mine, Alice Montalvo-Tribue, Translation of Love.Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you
about their work?
I have two. Olivia Cunning and Katie Ashley. I enjoy their writing style. It’s relaxed and flows easily. What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Occasionally I would get stalled on where Faith or John would want to go or how they would want to react. I do not write up outlines before hand. I only brainstorm and jot down my ideas so I don’t forget as the story progresses. If I get stuck I let it sit and stew a few days and then the next part will just come out of no where and I start up again. What are 3 things about you that your readers don’t know?
I’m bilingual English/Spanish, my 9 year old is almost as tall as me I’m only 4’11 and I only get about 3 maybe 4 hours of sleep a night.
About the Author:
The mid-west has been my home my entire life. Make that the same state, Illinois. I even lived in the same house the first twenty-three years of my life until I moved out. I am married with three young daughters that are always into something.
I work a part time job in the medical field. I have been lucky enough to have been doing it for almost 15 years. The stories I could tell would probably amaze you. They are almost as entertaining as Finding Faith, but not quite.
This journey started out as a hobby to keep me busy while my husband is at work. Not that the kids don’t do a good job, but at night I get bored while he’s gone. I wrote a YA Paranormal novel that is still sleeping, waiting for me to do something with it, but John and Faith called to me. I really don’t know what it is but their story took over and I have to get it out. I fell in love with them and have to share in hopes that you all fall in love with them as much as I have.
